Deminished Value

Anyone ou there have an idea how I can find out how much my truck was worth before it was wrecked and how much it is worth now? Dang insurance company seems to be playing games. Is the a certain % that is lost? Thanks in advance.

Re: Deminished Value

The before value should be on kbb.com

I don't think anyone but your insurance company can calculate the after value.

Re: Deminished Value

they are the ones who told me to do the research and find out some figures. I know carfax or something similar has to have a formula they use to lower the value.

Wouldn't they need to see the remains after the wreck ??

2006 F150 Supercrew, Lariat, 2WD, 5.3L, 44K, Excellent condition. Truck had every option except the sun roof. 20's. Thanks.

I had a guy tell me yesterday from a dealership that they will knock about 5K off the offer if it has been wrecked.

The 2008 ford pickups have big rebates. Take the original invoice minus the current rebates then depending on where your market is there is an adjustment. It is not an exact science at all.

Re: Deminished Value

I would imagine you are not the only with a truck or SUV getting nailed now days by the insurance companies. They have the upper hand on the market right now with the heavy depreciation that all the trucks are going through. Dealers can't sell them, so they pretty much give them away.

Kelly Blue Book lists its value at $13,775. But that is the high end...."excellent" condition represents less than 5% of the used cars out there.
