Re: 72 hour sale
Good question. When I was buying my G6 last week, I chatted about this with my good friend and saleslady. She said from the start it definitely picked up interest in people at least coming in, but they weren't moving THAT many more.
And for the extent of the attention continuing, they were pretty much coming right out and saying that they expected it to be extended (which it was), so the same amount of new people, or actually a bit less, still seemed to be coming in this week. We live in a beach resort area and the 4th of July seemed to kill things off a bit too, with so many out of town people down and not a whole lot of them shopping regardless of deals. Overall, I'd say here it hasn't increased much, but definitely some. I'm going to run down today for a visit and get an update.

Re: 72 hour sale
It certainly worked on me. My plan was to keep my 2005 SAAB 9-3 for another 3 years and look into a Volt. I saw the HHR SS was included in the zero financing and I took a test drive. Well, I bought one today, Imperial blue with the only option being the limited slip/Brembo package. The car is a blast to drive (same basic engine and tranny as my 9-3 by the way) and seems very well built. The only negative is the hard plastic dash, looks like I will be upgrading my interior, which will be fun. It's been a while since I trimmed out an interior.
