'06 Monte Carlo Pace Car Edition ??
anyone have any info about the new Monte Carlo Pace Car Edition??
A guy in NY, on another forum, just picked one up... said it was the first version to be shipped to NY, and it was #5 in production. He also mentions that: "The only biggest performance difference with this one is the factory flow master exhaust. Dealer told me it's rated slightly higher in HP than the standard SS. They said between 315 - 320hp and about 330 - 335 lb/ft torque." Here's a pic: http://www.montecarloforum.com/upfil...F0D6D88952.jpg So, is there any info around about this new edition? Thanks!

true statements... I'm 36, don't really care for the racing stripes or that little fake hood scoop - it's the "more power" that I'm interested in ![]() sure thing, if I find out any more info, will letcha know... hopefully someone from a dealership will be able to chime in here with some info.

Re: '06 Monte Carlo Pace Car Edition ??
Pace Car Edition is built by Rocky Ridge Vans (www.rockyridgevans.com) in Royston, Ga about 2 miles from the dealership I sell at. One of their salesmen had the car here a few weeks ago. Took a few pictures. It is about a $7,000 package that includes wheels, two-tone leather seats, stripes, hood scoop, interior trim and flow master exhaust. I'm not a real big Monte Carlo fan, but this is a good looking car and sounds great.

Re: '06 Monte Carlo Pace Car Edition ??
I guess the dealer is calling it a pace car but since it is not offered by GM that way it's really just a dolled up car to increase the profits. I can't imagine paying $37,000 for it though. Looks pretty nice but it needs to be lowered with that wheel and tire combo.

Re: '06 Monte Carlo Pace Car Edition ??
The dealership that my dad works for deals with Rocky Ridge Conversions. They get lifted pickups with a regular-length warranty. I assume that goes for the Monte as well.
I saw one at Richmond last week. It was black and didn't have the billet grille. Good looking ride.
