I mean 40MPG city, or at worst, 40MPG combined.
Diesel here is well below $3.00/gal.

I am hoping for a minimum of at least 45 MPG combined with 50 MPG or more on the highway. I always hear drivers of VW TDI powered cars rave that they get 55 MPG average with the lowest I remember being 43 MPG.
