The baby Buick CUV is an interesting choice.

Calling the ATS a midsize car is amusing given it's tiny back seat and trunk.

Shocking that the base price of the ATS is higher than the BMW 3.

I'd put money on it that the base ATS has a lot more than the BMW.

Sad that it was ever used on the ATS in the first place.

The ATS and CTS and CT6 are overpriced period. That is the single largest factor in there slowing sales. The tiny trunk and back seat room in the ATS doesn't help either and it is NOT a midsize car in any way shape or form!

    Regardless, ATS is still overpriced.

If the ATS was 20% bigger inside and a couple of grand cheaper it would sell well I think.

Cadillac has it's head in the sand while BMW and Mercedes dominate them in the entry level luxury market - a market Caddy needs to get some volume in.

GM's products are overpriced across the board. My Cruze Hatch stickered about $2500 over a Civic Hatch that has more equipment/features (like, why do I still have to use a foot operated parking brake and have no lumbar support in a nearly 30k car in 2017?!). Same for the new Equinox, LaCrosse and most everything else. Option package prices are ridiculously high and GM has gone ballistic charging $395-995 for metallic paint colors that aren't even premium in any way. Ford, Honda, FCA all have gorgeous, rich paints that are free of charge. The old GM ways of cheapening out, especially on interiors, is back. What is relatively new is charging a lot of extra money for it.

The Encore I'm not sure belongs on this list. Is it a good vehicle? Yes, the people who buy them like them. BUT:

-the vast majority of the ones on the dealer lots still have the old 1.4t (138hp version) not the updated 1.4t.
-Even with the new engine, the AWD Encore sport touring model does 0-60 in over 9 seconds...the base engine does it in about 10 seconds.

Now, I know this isn't a list for performance cars, but if you are going to talk what modern luxury means...you have to do a lot better than that.
