Released 2008 CTS picture with Lutz & Welburn

2008 Cadillac CTS Shown!

General Motors is planning to roll out the new Cadillac CTS at the North American International Auto Show inDetroit in January, the automaker has confirmed.

The CTS's new look was unveiled earlier this year in part by Bob Lutz on CBS's 60 Minutes, as he pulled back a car cover, exposing a dramatic Cadillac grille and headlight cluster to reporter Steve Kroft: "Unfortunately this is a car that I'd like to be able to show you, but for competitive reasons we can't show it all. I'll just show you some of the, some of the advanced work that we're doing on grilles - that this is obviously a Cadillac, no concealing that," Lutz said, giving Kroft a peek.

This sucks. We saw more of the car on 60 minutes than what this "sneak peak" shows.

Boooooooooooooooo!

Caddy CTS Teaser Spy Shot??

2008 CTS Teaser Released?!

Well I waited ALL DAY and it's finally arrived....but isn't much

I'm kinda disappointed, they made it sound like it would be much more, but the press release just showed up on GM's Website. I kinda wonder if they were playing with us now...

Anyone see Hi-Res pics anywhere?

Take Care!

DETROIT, Mich. (January 7/8, 2007) - Ed Welburn, GM Vice President, Global Design (left) and Bob Lutz, GM Vice Chairman, Global Product Development, provide a sneak peek of the all-new 2008 Cadillac CTS, which will be fully revealed at Detroit's North American International Auto Show in January. The performance luxury sedan is scheduled to begin production in late-summer of 2007, with worldwide sales to follow in the fall.

Cadillac's first-generation CTS built a strong record of success on many levels since its inception in 2002. Cadillac sold more than 60,000 copies in the U.S. in 2005, compared to roughly 38,000 in 2002, an increase of more than 50% over that period. There are roughly 275,000 CTS owners worldwide, and industry researchers say they are among the most satisfied in the automotive market. AutoPacific rated CTS as the top Entry Luxury Car in its annual Vehicle Satisfaction Awards in 2006.

Re: Released 2008 CTS picture with Lutz & Welburne

The grill appears to be missing mesh or something right??

Was the 60 minutes showing a V series?

Edit: I am not complaining, just attempting to point out differences.

Meh!!!
It looks to be a bit toned down from the 60 Minutes version??
Need a bigger shot than that. Hmmm

Re: Released 2008 CTS picture with Lutz & Welburne

It's the official reveal. It's in GM News, and it looks nearly exactly like the CTS that they showed on 60 min. Here it is from the GM website.

Re: Caddy CTS Teaser Spy Shot??

Looks like they definetly didn't soften A&S..which is excellent. I can't wait till we see the whole thing.

It looks like it has massive fender flares.

Wow, that's beautiful. I want more!

The CTS in the 60 minutes could've been the prototype or concept.

Re: Caddy CTS Teaser Spy Shot??

The grill doesn't seem as impressive as the 60 minutes reveal. Optional grill or the coupe concept for detroit was what was seen on 60 minutes?

Re: Released 2008 CTS picture with Lutz & Welburne

This is a new picture and in more detail too. The stills grabbed from the web cast left much to be desired. I like how they did this by using a blanket to cover the rest of the car in low light. Much better than the usual GM photochop.

Just look at the size of the Cadillac emblem on the grill, it’s the size of full grown man's hand.
