New Saab 9-3 Revealed!

New Saab 9-3 Revealed!

Today official photos of the 2008 Saab 9-3 range were released. Aside from the revisited exterior design, comes a new all-wheel drive (dubbed XWD) that will transfer 100% of the torque to the rear, a new four-wheel turning system, and a 280 HP Aero model that gets all of it's torque at 1800 RPM and holds on to it until 5000 RPM!

I like the styling of the new one much better than the old. It keeps growing on me more and more.

Re: New Saab 9-3 Revealed!

The Aero (with 260 or with 280 HP) needs XWD, because if you don't send that power to the rear the Torque steer is RIDICULOUS!

Wow, the new design is a huge improvement. I'm still not to sure about the black lining around the taillights though.

Looks sharp, and like it would be right at home parked in an IKEA lot.

Re: New Saab 9-3 Revealed!

So, are we getting the same old interior?

Re: New Saab 9-3 Revealed!

I like that it still looks very European. And the wagon just looks awesome. The only thing I dont like is the grille is looking a little too Nissan.

So is the interior getting any changes, or no?

Re: New Saab 9-3 Revealed!

The only two things that I don't really like about this car is the black trim around the taillights and the interior needs to be better. But wow! What an engineering marvel! That torque curve is ridiculous!

Re: New Saab 9-3 Revealed!

If they upgraded the interior as well as they did the exterior, Saturn/Saab dealers may be getting busier in the next few months.

Powertrain and Interior are carryover. The only thing new is a higher level Aero model with a 280 HP engine over the normal 260 HP engine, same displacement. So I'd assume the 20 HP is kicking up the boost and tuning.

Re: New Saab 9-3 Revealed!

Might as well merge my thread that I reported on yesterday on. Instead of having two on the front page...

Four wheel turning system? You mean Re-Axis? The 9-3 has had since its debut.
