Re: Malibu Rated #1 in Initial Quality

Can someone post the sales of the Malibu compared to the other mid-sizers? I am interested to see if the Malibu is stomping others in the segment besides Camry or Accord.
Or is GM still ramping up the factory output?

Great news. Malibu is a star as is the Outlook/Acadia.

I wish GM had a few more but still, all good.

Re: Malibu Rated #1 in Initial Quality

This is great. The last gen 'bu won this too. The current is obviously much better than that, as is the segment. Here is a link to an article with some interesting data. Malibu was lower than its competition in sales, as was other GM models.

Re: Malibu Rated #1 in Initial Quality

Click on nameplate rankings, and you will see how far FAR down the ratings Nissan is, yet it gets a pass by the general public because it is Japanese. As someone else pointed out, the Camry and Accord are not even in the top 3 in initial quality!

*****CHEVROLET, PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE ADVERTISE THE HELL OUT OF THIS*********** It is time to call out the biased Camry Accord buyers and point out the facts to them!

JD Power is lying. The Camry won. You know it.

Re: Malibu Rated #1 in Initial Quality

One of my neighbors has a Malibu rental for a few days. I sat in it the other day and it is quite impressive. And it was a base model LS too. Compared to Camries and Accords I've been in, it is much better.

Re: Malibu Rated #1 in Initial Quality

Next Malibu commercial should be all over this. Poke in the eye to the camry and accord.
I suggest something akin to a camry and accord breaking down on the side of the road and then a beautiful Malibu LTZ cruising past.
Then we see that the Malibu's driver is Bob Lutz and he's laughing his a** off at the toyota/honda drivers.
