Re: Let The Awards Continue!

I sat in the new Malibu at the L.A. Auto show last week and all the interior materials were of very good quality! On the way home from work yesterday I saw one on the freeway and its a very nice looking car. Congrats GM, you have a winner on your hands, now lets hope people give it a break and see it for what it is.

It's reality. Has nothing to do with me being happy for the corporation or not.

I'm not sure what they are surprised at. The Vibe has ALWAYS looked better than the Matrix, and personally, I believe every car looks better WITHOUT body cladding.

Holy cow! I cannot remember the last time (if any) that GM had 30% of the C&D 10 best list! This is fantastic!

Re: Let The Awards Continue!

Very encouraging, NOW BUILD A WORLD CLASS NON-TURBOCHARGED ECONOMY ORIENTED COBALT! for the 200-300,000 cobalt intending buyers out there so they convince their friends in their civics to trade them in for Chevy's!

I think the T/C Cobalt SS will be up there right with the MS3/GTI as the class leader overall, but, the base LS LT and LT2 Cobalts are the ones that need the most help!

Re: Let The Awards Continue!

Very good news, this is such a departure. What a radical product turnaround! The 2008 Malibu and CTS really are excellent examples of what GM can do when it puts it's mind to it; and look at the recognition they're getting!

Re: Let The Awards Continue!

Great news for GM. However, I don't understand how the Malibu made the top 10 list this year, but the Aura did not make the top 10 list year year.

Re: Let The Awards Continue!

Congratulations, GM!

But that can't be - Car and Driver has an import bias, right?

Re: Let The Awards Continue!

It is really no susprise they are winning the awards! Look at the cars that have won. The CTS is a phenominal new car, the new Malibu is easly in the top(if not the top) of its class, and as for the Corvette, nothing really needs to be said. It is tops in Automotive industry bar none! GM is really out doing themselves now, just think what kind of awards the G8 will get in upcomming years, and possibly the new RWD Impala!

Re: Let The Awards Continue!

Wait I'm confused, hasn't the Accord always one the 10 best award in the malibu's category?

There are no slots in the top 10 list for market segments. The winners could all be family sedans if they were what C&D deemed were the 10 best.
