Re: GM's Transformers "Roll Out"!

You know, perhaps they should start working on a Transformers sequel... they will be able to regenerate all of the camaro hype. Either that or GM can dip its hand into another Michael Bay action flick right before the Camaro is released.

Yeah, even in Pearl Harbor the main characters are riding around in a '40 or '41 Buick convertible...

I kind of figured him to be a GM man...

Re: GM's Transformers "Roll Out"!

I am so glad they used GM for this movie and not tOYOTA. Can you imagine how crappy it would be if they did? Bumblebee as a corolla!! Ugh

I'm seeing it tonight in a theater that uses DLP Projection. Can't wait.

Re: GM's Transformers "Roll Out"!

It is nice to not see Toyota plastered all over something for a change. And maybe a few more people will know what a TopKick is.

As for pre-marketing the Camaro, who cares? The hype was huge when the concept came out. That's why it's going into production. The hype will still be huge when they are launched and GM will barely have to spend a dime on promotions. The only thing GM could do wrong with the Camaro at this point is to start altering the exterior styling further from the concept. But then again that's just my opinion.

Re: GM's Transformers "Roll Out"!

saw it last nite and am goin again tonight. best action movie ever. i think the acting was pretty good. don't listen to a single critic out there that bashes the film. they want some broke back moutain BS so of course they aren't going to like it.

when BumbleBee changes from 2nd gen camaro to the new one... the reaction by the audience was awesome. the way they did the change was pretty f'in sweet...i won't give it away so you will just have to go see it for yourself.

Reports are a script is already in the works, and the people that worked on the first one are being told to keep their schedules open.

Re: GM's Transformers "Roll Out"!

Transformers was awesome, I loved it. It is better than Armageddon or Bad Boys or pretty much any other Michael Bay movie, I thought it was the best action movie I've seen a few years. Acting was good too, Shia LeBouf is underrated, he did a great job.

The Camaro looks amazing in the movie. They show if off really well, it has a lot of screen time, it looks awesome from every angle, I love the Camaro styling. If it was on sale next month they would sell 200,000 easily in the first year, anyone that sees this movie will want a Camaro, problem is you can't buy it for a year, GM will lose a lot of impulse buyers.

There is supposed to be a sequel in 2009, so the Bumble Bee will ride again. If Chevy doesn't offer yellow with double black stripes as a paint color they are insane.

Re: GM's Transformers "Roll Out"!

Ya know some idiots in some forums I visit are bitching about the heavy GM representation in the film, the good news is that they are craving for the Camaro they are salivating over it.

GM should get the Camaro out fast.

Re: GM's Transformers "Roll Out"!

Just came back from a doubleheader with the wife of Transformers and Live Free or Die Hard. I got out of class very early today and thanks to daycare we had a daytime date.

Transformers was fantastic. The effects and storyline definately brought me back to childhood days. The was one scene in the film that just hit me as being exactly what I hoped a live action version of the Transformers would be. Great job Michael Bay. The GM vehicles looked great.

My wife wants a Camaro now! This has come from a women who has always had all the usual negative stereotype things to say about Camaros up to this point.

Die Hard was very good as well. We watched Transformers first. After all of that unbelievable but great action. Die Hard was almost a dose of reality. A fun film. Crown Victoria 1, Helicopter 0. Perfect.
