Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Saturn Lineup
Looks good, Sky is awesome.
Not sure about the Switch. Think about the last time GM tried a mid size SUT with the Envoy XUV, that didn't work so well. And even the Ridgeline isn't selling that well. Unless the Switch has a midgate option, it won't be that successful and even then I'm not sure. |

Great job with the photoshopping. I don't like the Signal though. Also the badges in the Aura weren't changed from Opel to Saturn. Still, you guys did excellent work.

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Saturn Lineup
The switch is dumb! its a European brand- NO TRUCKS, sorry..
LOVE everything else, but why is the XE outlook only having 250hp when there was an article on here stating that NEXT year the 3.6 w/300hp would be standard on all the base Lambda's? There should be another FULL SIZED car in this lineup too. Maybe an AWD standard Zeta or something.

They look great as always. But umm, the Aura has an Opel logo on the steering wheel still?
I also noticed you have the extendo-windshield on the Astra. I love that thing. ![]()

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Saturn Lineup
Absolutely brilliant.
People can argue all they want that Saturn should be dropped and the investment made to revitalize Buick and Pontiac. The perception problem remains for BPG. All three of those components HAVE to shrink and become quality niche players, restore their brand, then consider re-expansion. Meanwhile, Saturn doesn't carry the baggage and has the potential to draw new customers on the coasts which GM HAS to do to survive AND thrive. Buick and Pontiac should each become 3 model lineups at most. GMC should concentrate on trucks - and arguably shouldn't even be selling the Acadia which should have been a Chevy. Then GM becomes Chevy, Saturn, BPG, and Cadillac. Saab and Hummer? I have no idea what to do with those. I can't believe Saab is helping the NA bottom line that much. Hummer should probably become a subcategory of GMC. Again, this lineup for Saturn - brilliant. |

This is the best Revitalizations i've seen. The truck thing is silly though.

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Saturn Lineup
I actually really like the switch. Its very well proportioned. And the roll bar type thing has a really nice shape.
Also I really like the style of the center stacks. Very modern, attractive, coherent, and INTEGRATED. GM needs to start doing theirs more like that.

Wow. Nice job. I look forward to seeing the future of Saturn. If these products are any indication, the future looks bright.

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Saturn Lineup
I reallly like, I think thats a great direction for saturn to go toward, besides the switch. Oh and one other thing, the hvac/center console have wayy too many buttons to be fashioned functional while driving, while it isnt as worse as bmws i-drive.
Too bad beancounters would kill 1/2 the features of these concepts, but if some of these concepts were reality, they would retail north of 35k, which is saab territory and people won't grasp the concept of a $35,000 saturn beyond here at gmi. Oh and the signal would be a great remask of the chevy beat that will never make it to market, and hit a segment that would of made perfect sense for saturn.

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Saturn Lineup
Love the lineup, no way in heck you will sell a saturn midsize sedan for almost 39k! Sorry, not going to happen, I highly doubt inflation will increase midsize sedan prices THAT much, a loaded camcordtima tops at 33ish, there is NO way 39 will fly. I like the Switch, DO IT!!!!
Astra RL has my name written all over it in black on black or red on black. CobaltSScrazy

Amazing job, guys. I am really liking the evolutionary look of the Astra and Sky. I'd say the Sky looks more like a MCE than a complete redo, and there is nothing wrong with that. It looks terrific.
The VUE and Aura look a tad frumpy in the front end. I do like the Switch and there have been rumours of Lambda SUT. I feel the two things missing are: 1) a more car-based crossover between the VUE and the OUTLOOK. It would leave the VUE to hit the lower end of the market and would solve the not low enough in base form pricing issue of the OUTLOOK somewhat. The car-based crossover could cover the need for a wagon and could be a more sporty crossover than the OUTLOOK is. Think Infinity FX type vehicle, and 2) a small Mazda 5-sized minivan like is currently in the Opel lineup. Thanks for all of the hard work. You guys really did a terrific job. I'm a little nervous about the Cadillac lineup coming though.... |

WOW, the Switch. What an obvious addition to the Lambda platform. How do you keep it from not being a GMC exclusive though?
