So today my goggle blogs arrive with more Bob Lutz news, Saturn and Cadillac to get diesel and or diesel hybrids by 2010, perhaps even earlier as 2009 MODEL YR. The story is somewhat confusing about costs and which models will have what first.
One thing seemed certain however, GM will show Saturn and Cadillac Diesels at the NEW YORK AUTO SHOW in January 1998. ![]() Last edited by greenhornet : 07-14-2007 at 05:38 PM. |

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Saturn Lineup
I LOVE STAURN and ALWAYZ have! I now work for the company. The revitalization has already made a BIG impact but when these models come out its OVER! Saturn will take over! Now with the SWITCH, it does look alil odd but we do need a truck. Alot of my customers would buy a SATURN truck over others if it was offered. So make a few minor changes to this idea and I think it will be a hit!

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Saturn Lineup
Hmm... I'm not sure about this one. Don't get me wrong, what you have so far is absolutely fantastic, even the Switch, but I think you are lacking on two fronts that will give Saturn that decidedly Euro feel it needs to differentiate itself from Chevy. Those are minicars and MPVs. Saturn should bring in the Tigra, Agila, and Zafira, definitely, and possible the Meriva as well. I'm not sure how well that would do here, but it can't hurt to try. Who knows, maybe we'll have a hit on our hands. I also think that, if Opel ever produces the Trixx to beat Smart, Saturn should bring it her. What you guys have is great, but these 3 (maybe 5) additions will link it completely with Opel and make for a Euro brand like we've never seen here in the states before, something new and fun.

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Saturn Lineup
The price on the Astra is too high. The lower income people that would need to buy that car will not be able to afford it. Also the Switch, not needed. They tried it with the Envoy, did it even last more than a year?
