Re: GMI Revitalization in Action; The Dream Pontiac Lineup
Like the Firebird, except for the hood (a bit over the top). Not a fan of the GTO photoshop...
...the next-gen G6, on the other hand...gorgeous! I would soften the nose up (too beak-like), but those lines are amazing. That is what the G6 should look like! ![]() All-in-all, a great job! GM should hire you guys. |

Re: GMI Revitalization in Action; The Dream Pontiac Lineup
Stunning, simply stunning. I would be proud to own any of those. But, a quick break down:
Firebird: It's a nice design, but would have been better if it was styled more with curves, like the Solstice, rather then sharp edges like the Camaro. GTO: This is a win. I mean like.... a 110% win. I would buy 2 if these came out tomorrow. 1 to drive, and 1 to keep in my bedroom. G8: At first I thought it was too bland. But it grew on me a bit. I'd drive it. Although it could have been a bit more innovative. G6: Definately nice. Over all: I like the bold designs of these. And especially like the classic Pontiac "split-grill" you've brought back on these (all except G8). But... I would have enjoyed if there was more angles of the cars. Especially rear. Also, I know Pontiac is scaling back the number of cars, but, only 4? The dream Buick line up got alot more, even illustrated coupe versions. Which brings me to my next point. Is there going to be no G6 coupe? There wasn't even the mention of it, or the hard-top vert. Also, I feel the Solstice should have been included. You guys probley could have done something nice with a next gen Solstice design. Not to mention, off KappaII, you should included either a small RWD sedan (something to replace the G5), or a small RWD wagon to replace the Vibe. So yea, great line up. Now tell me there's more pics of that GTO somwhere ![]()

Re: GMI Revitalization in Action; The Dream Pontiac Lineup
Ummm.... No. Why have the Firebird and GTO? A Zeta GTO and a Camaro (Zeta) based Firebird seems like a huge overlap. They would have the same platform, engines, transmissions, and etc. And whats up with the Torrent front end on the G8??

Re: GMI Revitalization in Action; The Dream Pontiac Lineup
I REALLY like the Firebird rendering. I like that it doesn't have the 1st gen quarter windows like the Camaro. I like that it follows the 2nd gen more (grille, fastback window, dual hood scoops). The only thing I would change would be the headlights. Stick in quad rectangular or even round headlights instead of those crazy spaceship looking little ones. Then the big front bumper needs something to break up all that mass like maybe a lower grille or running lights in addition to fog lights. Oh, and it should have a 385 horsepower V8 (LS2, LS3 or whatever it'll be called in 2010). It doesn't matter thats 15 shy of the GTO, us Firebird guys and gals will take care of that
.If Pontiac makes this I'll be at my local dealer handing over $30k for one.The GTO looks really good too. Again though that front bumper would have to change b/c I don't like the way it breaks away where I suppose those orange DRLs are. Other than that..rock on with it. G8 looks good, not wild about the name but maybe they'll call it a GP. The G6 is the worst of the group. That front end looks so much like a Honda Civic/Sunfire it ain't even funny. Other than that the basic flow of the lines are great.
