Thanks. That's my baby. I picked her up in July. I've always wanted a GTO and after test driving her I was sold. Here are some pictures I took right after I bought her

Out of curiosity, what is the insurance rate for the GTO, if you don't mind me asking?

I have full coverage with the highest limits possible without having an umbrella and I'm paying $1500 a year with a $500 deductible. It's about the same as I was paying for my 01 Pathfinder.

Also forgot to mention that I live in NJ. Insurance tends to be a little more expensive here then in other parts of the country.

Must be. The full coverage I pay is equal to my previous 2 vehicles. Full coverage on a '95 S-10 4-cylinder & collision only on a '92 Miata. Less than $1K per year. But, that's in Tennessee.

Saturn and Pontiac will have similar FWD cars, shared with Opel and Saab, and Buick and Pontiac will even be more similar with similar, but differently configured FWD and RWD vehicles. Just what I noticed, though the designs above are hot; the GTO is sick and the G6 is a really nice mainstreamer.
I'm hoping the small Pontiacs are from Delaware and the medium and large Pontiacs are derived from Australian platforms. My ideal Pontiac lineup would consist of

Solstice small roadster (Kappa)
Firebird/ Trans-Am (zeta SWB)
Lemans compact Sedan (Kappa)
Tempest Mid-Size sedan (Beta/whatever the Torana concept sits on)
Grand Prix full size sedan with 6.2 or 7.0L GTO Package. (zeta MWB)

How sweet! Australia and Delaware working together to save GM. Now there is a match made in Heaven. What do you think about that mikmak & hq308?

Very nice pics! You sure are making me jealous. Sadly, though this isn't my Tahoe in my sig. It's a photo I got from GM media. But, I do agree they're great vehicles.

Re: GMI Revitalization in Action; The Dream Pontiac Lineup

I think that the Solstice needs to stay in the line-up, it is like the Cadillac CTS, the car that basically transformed the Cadillac brand, the Solstice is starting to do the same thing for Pontiac. There should be a GTO on the Zeta platform, only because Pontiac doesn't need something that is essentially the same car as Chevy, (they have been screwed over by Chevy enough). The G8/GP/Bonneville whatever they call it should be the four door version of the GTO, but they shouldn't have too many of the same panels, giving the illusion of different vehicles. The G6 should be the next step down, benchmarking every import and domestic and doing it with Pontiac's soul and technology. It should be RWD or AWD with a six speed auto/manual and efficient engines, leaving the competition in the dust. Then, a compact car, the G5/G4 would be RWD or AWD, adding to Pontiac's performance, and would fight the Toyota Corolla/Honda Civic with American muscle. Maybe the lineup could be:
The GTO-2 Door Performance Coupe on the Zeta Platform
The Solstice-Roadster/Hardtop Coupe on the Kappa
The G8/Bonneville-4 Door Sports Sedan on the Zeta Platform
The G6/Grand Prix-4 Door/2 Door/Hardtop Convertible on the Epsilon II platform.
And lastly-The G5/Grand Am-2 Door/4 Door Sport Compact-on the Kappa platform or the new platform for the upcoming Chevy Cobalt.
Sound good? Let me know...

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Pontiac Lineup

I hate to drag this one out again, I realize it hasn't been touched on in over a year, but I had a few comment I wanted to make. First off, I love the cars, and I realize that you want to keep the Pontiac line small, which is good, but I think it could use just a few more things.

1. Are you guys doing a coupe/convertible version of the G6? It didn't look that way, and I think it should stay that way. I have another solution for the G6 coupe/convertible, and that's RWD. Build it on the Alpha platform, call it the Grand Prix. I know, there will be some overlap on the convertible with the Bel-Air, but there shouldn't be too much, and it will be the only 4-seat convertible Pontiac has.

2. Add to the Sportwagon to the G8. I'm no fan of the Pontiac ST idea, but I love the wagon, and think a performance wagon would make a great addition to the lineup and GM as a whole.

3. Keep the Solstice. I know, heritage, but c'mon. Solstice.

4. Possibly, I don't know if this should go to Pontiac and Cadillac or just Cadillac, and I'm leaning towards the latter, possibly add a mid-engined Fiero to the list. That one's a definite maybe.

Otherwise, awesome!

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Pontiac Lineup

The GTO looks bad ass, now just chop the front end (including that wicked bonnet) onto that onto the Holden Coupe60 there we go done- well either that or the G8 front LOL. Mind you there is a nice retro look to this GTO hmm now I sound desperate for a nice mid/full size coupe.

^^ EEW! Gross idea! Don't tarnish FBody's work w/such a disgusting fascia of a Pontiac that shouldn't even be a blatant rebadge of a Holden in the 1st place!

You can expect to see:

SWB Alpha Solstice(Targa/Conv)
LWB Alpha G6 (Sedan/Coupe/Conv) Compact
Zeta G8 (Sedan/Coupe/Wagon/CarTruck) Mid Size

Then maybe a Sub-Compact Sedan on SWB Alpha
and a
Full Size RWD Zeta

The G6 Coupe would be a Firebird like car. I'd take one with the 304 DI V6 and a 5 spd priced around 25,000-27,000
