Re: GMI Revitalization in Action; The Dream Pontiac Lineup
The GTO is awesome. The Firebird has to much 99 Concept GTO, The G8 should be called the Grand Prix, and the G6 has a weird grill. Just my two cents though.

Re: GMI Revitalization in Action; The Dream Pontiac Lineup
The GTO & Firebird concept pics are amazing...big props to whoever did them. G8 & G6 aren't bad either! Why can't one division be run by GMI and see what happens?

Re: GMI Revitalization in Action; The Dream Pontiac Lineup
I don't like the Firebird. It looks like an armored car, like it's supposed
to be bullit proof, or deflect radar signals or something. Maybe it just needs a machine gun turret on the roof. The GTO looks pretty cool, but the front end is a little over done. I think it borders on Hotwheels or maybe even Johnny Lightning designs. Seriously, good efforts, just need some tweaking.

Re: GMI Revitalization in Action; The Dream Pontiac Lineup
![]() This is my favorite concept of a future TA. I think I would have to have one if it looks as good as this one. As far as the concepts at the start of the thread, I liked the bird and GTO, The G8 has a nice euro look to it, but with a US muscle kinda flare. The 2010 G6 makes me kind of ill, it is not IMO the direction pontiac needs to be looking for 2010. ![]() |

Re: GMI Revitalization in Action; The Dream Pontiac Lineup
I humbly disagree with cc1999. I think the G8 and the G6 concepts are exactly where Pontiac needs be heading.
The American car companies need cars that are uniquely American in design. It's a niche that only we Americans have and we should exploit it to it's fullest advantage in order to bring sales numbers back up. Oh, and kudos to those that created the images. They are fantastic and have given us all a lot to comment about. Last edited by Paul_2001_GT_Conv : 09-21-2006 at 06:02 PM. |

Re: GMI Revitalization in Action; The Dream Pontiac Lineup
pretty sweet, i think your first two chops should be the new face of pontiac. However, i dont think the G8 would fit in that lineup style wise.
oh, and i dont really like that G6. nonetheless, very good job fellas! |

It was once said that the Japanese were particularly good at copying and usually improved on what they were copying - Lexus is a perfect example of aiming for Mercedes and actually hitting something better. Besides aren't US based stylists just basically copying Detroit with retro designs anyway? There is absolutely nothing stopping Hyundai from turning the Tiburon into a retro muscle car. |

Re: GMI Revitalization in Action; The Dream Pontiac Lineup
I just dont get why anyone would think that a new Firebird should have a smaller motor then the last Firebird...that makes no sense.
