Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Chevrolet Lineup

Nice Work! I'll take a Caprice, Nomad and Corvette all in black please!

I do think, as mentioned in previous post(s), that we need something between the 3.6 and 7.0L in the Caprice though.

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Chevrolet Lineup

Thanks Camaro_Freak, NSAP, FBodyRules, and ChevroletRevived for doing an excellent job with the RIA again. It's clearly evident you guys worked hard on these, so good job. I'm not a fan of all of the designs, I think there may have been a tad too much Volt spread around the lineup, but it's always fun to speculate and read through these. This lineup was extremely well put together and had a lot of thought put into each design. Keep it up!

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Chevrolet Lineup

I may be in the minority, but I don't like some of them.

The Corvette screams Mazda.

The Impala looks like a rebadged Charger.

The Caprice looks just like a bloated Malibu.

The Cobalt looks like it belongs in Cadillac's lineup.

Good job, but I expected better.

The Beat costing more than an Aveo is not a good idea.

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Chevrolet Lineup

You've done and exellent job. Absolutely logical and if GM even comes close to some of the predictions i'll be very happy.

My only disappointment was that you have not addressed Trucks and what we might see in the near future. The 2 glaring omissions of course are your ideas on the new Traverse and a rumored Ridgline type pickup based on the Lambda Platform and of course the replacement/update for Equinox. There was also a K-5 concept a few years ago based on the GMT-800 Tahoe that I never heard any more about. And last of course would be the Colorado pickup, it is definately due for a major update. Maybe you could add your thoughts on these vehicles at some later date.

Keep up the good work!!!

We're doing the truck lineup later!

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Chevrolet Lineup

I'm diggin' that they all seem to have in-dash sat nav displays. Those HP figures for the lower-level 2.0 Ecotecs seem pretty weak. If you're only talking around 115-125 hp, why not do a 1.6 or 1.8? Maybe a 1.6 DI turbo as an upgrade engine?

Also, the HP levels on the Volt should reflect the power output of the electric motors, since those are actually providing the motivation.

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Chevrolet Lineup

Yeah, why the sudden jump from 3.6 V-6 to LS7 for the Impala? I thought the LS7 was being discontinued anyway? It's looking like the 6.2 is going to be the bread-and-butter small block in the near future.

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Chevrolet Lineup

They all look pretty good but the Malibu and Caprice look way too much alike, and the Impala looks wayyy too much like the Dodge Avenger.

I woud love to see the Chevrolet Chevelle concept's front on a new RWD Impala!!

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Chevrolet Lineup

The Aveo's just about right, though a 2.0 liter? mos cars in this class are 1.5.

I'm not sure if I love or hate the Bel Air/Nomad twins.

The Cobalt's cool, accept for the angry face, and isn't the turbo going to have more than 245hp?

The Impala's face is ummm interesting....

No SS trim on the Vette, all Vettes are super sports Zora said so himself.

No Camaro? I guess it was good as is.

All the interiors are beautiful.

All these renderings are far more than anything i could generate, good job.

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Chevrolet Lineup

You guys always do such a fantastic job with these RIA projects.

The new Aveo and the Caprice are my favorites of this bunch. I really like the new Cobalt's side profile (very handsome) and I love the idea of the Nomad actually (finally) making it into production. I'm not quite sure why I'm not warming up to the Impala, the trunk lid on the Malibu is a bit long, and the Corvette... well I don't know if that should have even been messed with. I think the C6 looks fantastic

The interior photoshopping is amazing.
