Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Chevrolet Lineup

The only thing I don't get is the price tag on the Belair/Nomad SS... $39k!??

That's as much as the uber-hemi powered SRT-8 Magnum and Charger but w/o a V8...

HOLLY COW! Wait to go GM, make it happen and you definetly will shake up the market. If they can build them of quality materials with quality technology and keep to those pictures and they'll sure enough take back the market.

BTW, whatever happened to the Canyon and Colorado, they'll soon enough need to be redone.

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Chevrolet Lineup

Everything looks great, but as aerodynamic as a brick wall.. I am also having trouble comprehending that their are no SUVs, Crossovers, Trucks or Vans (mini & full size)

edit: just saw there will be a part II.. so you can negate my "people mover/stuff hauler" comments.

With the Beat, Aveo, HHR, Cobalt and Volt I really think they have enough of the market cornered. Plus, lets not forget that there the Astra it you like a European taste.
I reviewed this lineup a few months back.
The small, efficiency-based Chevys, to me, doesn't look fleshed out.
I think there's enough room between Cobalt and Malibu for one more smaller car. And an SUV-like alternative the size of the Beat.

I consider this a global lineup for Chevy. I'd see little change between Euro and US and Asian models. So Beat/Aveo/HHR/Cobalt/Volt will be identical globally. So yeah, 1 more would do it.

Completely agree and they better figure out how to build some of these small guys in the states after the new CAFE bill is passed soon.

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Chevrolet Lineup

You guys are amazing with the photo editing, no doubt about that.

The Impala looks like a dodge avenger.

The current malibu interior looks better than the concept.

The corvette looks like a body kit of the current one.

Nomad / Bel Aire look like the Dodge slingshot.

Cobalt front end it probably the best if not a little Acura-ish.

The Camaro is the Camaro.. the RIA did not alter it.

The Chevelle is a concept vehicle and not a product in the RIA Chevy production lineup.

Re: GMI's Revitalization in Action | The Dream Chevrolet Lineup

Excellent!

I truly believe the Volt will look more like the Beat that its current state; its current state is more of an attention getter than practical.

I really like the headlight treatment to the Cobalt and Aveo, their looks are world beaters. And I also like the Nomad concept, but don't know if it sits well in the Chevy stable; it may be better served as a Pontiac or Buick as long as it is not a fraternal twin of the Solstice. I think the BelAir could find a home as well as a sister product with Buick.

I am not a fan of the illustration of the Impala or the Corvette.
