What about the Escalade? It's an Avalanche in a tuxedo.

Re: GMI Exclusive: Some GMC Product Programs Bite the Dust
Wow, posting on a GM site is a first for me!!
So here's my profile GM Insiders: Male, married with 1 toddler and 1 infant making let's say north of $100K......at least today anyway. I'm in my late 30s and have purchased 8 vehicles in my lifetime. HEADLINE: I HAVE NEVER EVEN REMOTELY CONSIDERED A DOMESTIC AUTOMOBILE UNTIL TODAY. While looking to trade my 2005 Toyota 4Runner 4X4 V8 for something bigger, I came across the Acadia and it has topped my list.....above the MDX, Pilot and Sequoia (that's huge BTW as I'm on my third generation of Toyotas). So there you have it GM, you may finally get the conversion you wanted. You beat Toyota in my book as well as all of the others! I do have high expectations however. The Toyota has not given me so much as an inch of trouble. No noises...not even a wiper blade or rotor in 50,000 miles. Again, My expectations are high. My point to all of this is that it is the tough GMC styling and utility that wins me over. The Traverse is too, call it soft, for me and the Buick looks like something from Captain Nemo's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea - gills on the side and cyclopes eye interior with that eeeeewww gag minty green lighting. Well, hate to offend anyone here. Everyone has an opinion I suppose. My point to all of this is PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me, GM, that you're going to stand behind at least another generation of Acadia's. If not well then I guess I'll wait for the next 4Runner. At least Toyos stick behind several generations of vehicles. You've got a HUGE winner in the Acadia. Ditching now sends you back to your old ways. You can beat the Taco Bell/Pizza Hut model of the past, i.e., mixing up the same ingredients year after year - call it something different, but serve the same old crap. So let me know GM. I'm almost ready to convert. I just need a little nod of confidence from the home office. |
