HHR is most likely dead. Unless GM plans to make it a CRV type car with style, I dont think we will see it after Delta 2 shows up.
G8 will be around for a while. As long as Holden makes the Commodore, you wont have to worry about the G8.

Corsa is bigger then Beat. Corsa and Aveo will be made in Mexico on Gamma 2.

And he then scrambled saying Pontiac will get a version of everything, after they said no re-badging! Of course, and typically.
Chevy is the only thing that matters. PBG are niche brands now, and they will be given smaller product lines, but zero overlap so that each division has thier own image. Pontiac will not get everything Chevy gets. Far from it.

This will be my first brand new car and I wanted the new Aura. I like the G8 a lot also.....but I live where it snows a lot.
Now GM may lose me as a buyer unfortunately b/c they won't offer anytning for me.

The rest of the line up is older. I know about the Malibu but I like sportier cars (again the Camry...totaly not my choice)

Any ideas for me?
You would be surprised by the sportyness of the Malibu. Take it for a spin.

Sounds good. Hopefully all of these plans come to fruitation, instead of being "rumors". I wish for a small Chevy, powered by the 1.4 liter engine with the dimensions of a Scion xb.

What exactly makes the Aura sporty? Or what makes it sportier than the Malibu?

During my lifetime, Buick was the third best selling car in the US. It was sporty and had class. It also appealed to all ages.

It's up to GM to make sure that you are not too young to buy a Buick.

But what about GMC? They're all rebadges.
Different body panels I guess?

I think he's referring to the Aura replacement, the Insignia being the next Aura but it's been put on hold.

Did you just use Camry and sportier in the same sentence?

Just about EVERYTHING is sportier than a Camry... unless you get into the highest trim levels.

At that point, it's G8 GT, baby... it kicks everything's a$$ at $30K.

EP II and the Cruze can't get here soon enough. Wasting money on crossovers is dumb. People don't want these things. Just go to any BPG dealer and check out the dealer's inventory sitting on the lot. It is full of crossovers/SUV's/trucks. If anything, they should try to get EP II underway a year earlier if possible instead of delaying it. Ditto for the Cruze. While I'm at it, give Pontiac a distinctive version of the Cruze. We Pontiac fans need it (coupe and sedan, please).

GM's betting all they've got on crossovers when the market isn't THAT large for them and they have enough already

Anyone mention that the little crossover shown is reminiscent of a Scion?

Re: GMI Exclusive: GM Planning Line of Small Crossovers/Rumors Debunked

This is great news. If the Chevy Aveo will be on the Gamma II platform by late 2011, it must be a 2012 model, which is what I am planning to buy. I think the Gamma II small crossover platform is very important to GM's future and I am pretty sure it will not be postponed or cancelled.

The new Gamma II Aveo comes out in the fall 2010 as 2011 model. The Gamma II Aveo hatchback comes out 2011 as a 2012 model.

Re: GMI Exclusive: GM Planning Line of Small Crossovers/Rumors Debunked

I actually think that GM has a good shot of expanding its crossover lineup successfully. Even the current Equinox was just a size bigger than all of the true cute utes from the Japanese companies.

I am pretty sure that people still want lots of room, versatility....etc... and they can get all of those things with much better fuel economy than the truck base SUVs.

Lastly, GM does make the best truck based vehicles in the business. So why can't they dominate the X-over market as well?
