It's a GM product, released in the United States, that's not a SUV or a Cadillac. Of course it doesn't have nav, unless you count OnStar. Duh.

I think longs overhangs have to do something about pedestrian safety.

They aren't comparable, except for D-pillar shape and number of doors. The Vibe is a mini-wagon/ute and the Astra 5-door is a sedan with a hatch instead of a trunk, like the Rabbit 5-door. Different markets, different uses.

See, this I would approve of, but some people might say it's too close to the Cobalt.

Some overhangs do look better than others. I guess some are designed to flow better with the rest of the car.

Properly marketed, this could compete very well. Hopefully they'll make a RedLine that will destroy the Rabbit.

See: Pontiac Firebird/ Chevrolet Camaro for how NOT to design an overhang.

Say hello to 38 inches of superfluous design and plastic!

It's a nice car, my only concern is quality from Europe. If it was made in the U.S. or Canada it wouldn't be a concern but I always ready about Europe lagging in quality now so..

I'm not usually a small car guy, but that coupe (3 door I guess) really looks good to me.

5dr Blue Manual, man I cant wait for this car to finally hit the market. I dont care waht anyone else says, but the 5 dr looks awsome and the interior is not quite as good, but still excellent. Only thing that could have made it better is if it had the 1.6T engine instead of the 1.8.

It looks absolutely fantastic, I'll be sure to suggest this to my dad when the Mazda's lease is up.

They co-own NUMMI, and neither side really seems to want to sell out to the other. As long as NUMMI is owned by both, there will be a rebadged Toyota-something for sale from one of GM's brands.
