Re: Ghrankenstein's 2007 GMT-900 1500 Pickup Bonanza!

As far as the whole bigger than the old truck thing goes. I have studied the specs pretty close and there are a lot of the demensions that are the same and some that are smaller on the new truck. Particuarly where the bed and tailgate is concerned. Sure the bed side hight is now taller but the tailgate is several inch's narrower than the old one, which has me concerned about all the 2500.00 power tailgates we currently own being able to be fited to the new trucks when we are finished with the old trucks.

No, this is the time of year no one has any money to spend on new vehicles. The holiday's suck up most of the money now.

Sales are killer slow right now for everyone. We've sold plenty 2007 Avs but not a single new Sierra or Silverado. I had one guy come in for one but I couldn't get him financed.

Customers are impressed but not ready to buy.

Kinda hard to blame them with GM's track record for offering nice incentives 6 months after a new model debuts. I mean, "investing" in any car is never a wise move, but watching the purchase price drop by several thousand dollars while you're still paying the interest and haven't begun to chip away at your loan price can be a pretty painful thing to witness. And now news that GM is scaling back its new large SUV lineup production.
