What has your supply been like? Do you have all the trim levels and colors in stock?

I don't know. I'm not sure it is a good sign if people think GM products look like Acuras. I mean, have you been in an Acura showroom recently? Those ultimium omni-directional hyper-shields on all of the grilles isn't my idea of style.

How much longer until we see "Best Selling Car in America" displayed on Malibu TV ads?
The day that happens, party at my house. Food and drinks provided.

Supply is mostly low. Right now we have 2 Black Granite LTZ's, 1 Cashmere Metallic LS, 1 White LS and 1 White 1LT. Last Thursday we had a lot more but we are low right now.

Here are some real sales stats from our store that I just put together. The only thing I do not have is trim level but I am working towards it.

Most happy about the new sales and the 57% conquest rate on trades. 63% of our sales so far were new entrants in the market without a car to trade in.

I don't work at a dealer (although I'd absolutely love to), but I've done my fair share of browsing through dealer lots. The dealer that we bought our '07 Malibu from has a Malibu from each trim level except the Hybrid. Only three colors though. 2 Black, 1 white, and a greyish color.

My only question here is of that 57% that were "non Chevy" how many were other GM brands? I'm just kind of thinking that if you trade a G6 in on a Malibu, that isn't really that much of a conquest.

You're right about new Acuras, but the older ones this old guy is most likely talking about look pretty nice.

The point is, it looks like something more upscale than a bread and butter Chevy sedan. Just wait until Buick gets an Epsilon II.

Re: Dealers: Malibu Success?

It's better to look like an Acura and have gangbuster sales than attempt to look "American" as an HHR and have limited appeal (and sales).

Acura has gangbuster sales?

Acura seems to have taken styling influence from Saturn/Opel, not the other way around, but they botched it up. Also, the current generation Honda Accord seems to have taken styling influence from the current generation Chrysler Sebring. Does Honda Motor have any styling originality? The new Acuras' styling (particularly the crossover SUV's) is awful.

That looks real good; the convertible is good idea, especially since it could steal the G6's top. As for the wagon ...?
