Re: Chicago: Astra, Vue RL Debut!

WOnder why they didn't give the Vue Redline a Hp bump to 260 or so? The Vue V6 has been at 250 since it's debut.

Re: Chicago: Astra, Vue RL Debut!

I simply love the Astra and most of the Saturn lineup i dont like the new Vue but i guess id have to see it to like it but Saturn i never thought would become a winner!! if GM is gonna make anything out of the Opel/Saturn relationship i think they should bring over a convertible also..SCREW THE MINIVAN IDEA AND KEEP THE OUTLOOK!! leave the van vehicles to Chevy and GMC..i was in favor of killing off Saturn 2 yrs ago cuz i never saw a future in the company NOW its a different story..I would assume the Pontiac Vibe would hit the NYIAS and skip over the early year shows to possibly make a splash but who knows?! hopefully its a bigger hit than the current one otherwise its a dead deal come 2009-10 hopefully!! i just wish Pontiac would take our advice and kill it off and keep the G5 as the cheapest car in the lineup..

Remember why the new Tundra was introduced as a 2007?

All 2008 models have to use the new EPA testing criteria, in which case 34mpg hwy is actually pretty good.

Huh? Astra has been on the market longer than Caliber, just not in the U.S.

I like the Astra ... and most everything that Opel has, so send them all here!

You sir, need glasses.

And a proper sense of time, the Astra was around longer than the Caliber. The Caliber is the rip off, if there is a rip off, I personally don't see it.

Re: Chicago: Astra, Vue RL Debut!

I guess what he means is that this car is so much nicer than an Ion sedan that it will cost more.

As for mileage, everyone needs to stop comparing 2007 models and 2008 models. It's like you all drank the Tundra kool-aid.

I was under the impression it will be close in price to the Ion, I hope it is. IF it is it fits my needs for a daily commuter for the wife.

I was wondering the same thing. I would have thought with Caddy getting DI and a bump in HP for the next CTS, perhaps GM would have had some other "trick" (other than DI) to boost HP in the 3.6.

When you look at Nissan which is gettin 265hp and Toyota who is getting 268hp out of it's 3.5L V6 engines, then you have to wonder when the General will do the same it it's engines...

Just a thought.

GM is getting 275 HP out the same 3.6L in the Lambda's. So, they already have the capability to surpass the competitions V6's, they just have to use it in more places.
