When pricing this they need to look very closely at the Acura TLX Advance SH-AWD.
They need to match its feature set and pricing or the GS will fail. The TLX maxes out around $45K.

I wonder what the price will be pushing on the Regal GS though. It'll likely be a crap load of fun to drive but at $45k+....yikes.

They also need to offer a TOUR X GS.

I cant wait to see how well the Regal GS performs.

I thought this platform was designed around a smaller engine bay to make it lighter (that's what I read about the Malibu at least). I assume then the Opel engineers had to make a lot of modification and add weight?

However, is the TLX "winning", I see a few on the road, but I'd put money on it that the SH-AWD is low volume, as I expect this Regal GS to be. As cool as the Regal GS (and even the TLX) are, we are now in luxury car territory or even nicely equipped Camaro/Mustang V8 territory.....

Isn't the new Regal on the same platform as the Malibu? I thought they said the platform wasn't engineered to handle the weight of the V6.

I wonder if this was an accident or not. By having these "accidents" it gets enthusiasts to actually read all the press releases knowing there may be something released by "accident".

Yes, the TLX is actually winning. 2815 sales last month. Regal sold 1334.
They need to look at the whole TLX line when packaging and pricing the Regal.

I think the GS deserves a better engine.

Re: Buick Accidentally Reveals Regal GS

I would consider a TourX AWD 3.6L V6 GS as a fun winter vehicle to replace the TrailBlazer.
    Current:
2000 Corvette Convertible MN6 - Summer DD (CAI, LS6 intake mani, cam, valve springs, crank UD Pulley, LT headers/X-pipe, C5Z06 Ti catback, C6Z51 anti-sway bars w/ custom heim joint end links, C6Z51 dampers, LG tunnel plate, Nitto NT05s)
2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LT - Winter & Utility
    1995 BMW M3 5 spd - Track toy
    1998 Honda VFR800FI
    1999 Mercury Cougar V6 5 spd - 24 hrs of Lemons
    2005 Fleetwood Prowler 27'
    Past:
1996 Buick Regal Custom 3800 Series II
    1995 GMC Jimmy

I hope the interior is better with this Gen, current/last is a little dowdy for a "Premium" brand.
