Acadia, 2007 SRX Revealed!

Today GM revealed the upcoming, all-new GMC Acadia crossover and the 2007 Cadillac SRX; sporting an all new, hand-crafted interior!

Let's see ... it's announced that Pontiac and GMC are to be sold in the same stores. Soon after, Pontiac the "excitement division" gets Torrent, making it more truckish ... while GMC the "Professional Grade division" gets Acadia, making it more car-like. And this happens just as both brands are to be sold together (apparently in a franchise chain called Idiots-R-Us).

Torrent was a stop-gap to hold Pontiac over until it got more product. GMC was going to have to get more crossover type vehicles, or GMC was going to get the ax. SUVs and trucks are a dying breed remember?

Just to save you the stress when they are revealed...GMC is getting a minivan and small crossover soon.

I cannot believe how SUPERB both of these interiors are. I expect a cadillac's interior to look like that, but that Acadia's is simply amazing.

WOW!

Imagine the Enclave, if Acadia looks this good.... They are almost giving Caddy a run for their money!!! Which ultimately means the best is yet to come from future Cadillac models...

On the other hand... if Chevy starts phasing out people movers like The EQuinox and minivan.. and just keeps trucks... this *might* work. But I don't think that's gonna happen.

While the product is now good, I think that the product positioning is still all wrong. GMC getting a minivan? Will that be "professional grade" too for the soccer moms?

Yep, the small crossover GMC is getting is going to replace the Torrent.

GMC is getting a minivan so there won't be a gap in P/B/G, because B/P aren't getting a minivan.

man!!!!!!!! those interiors look absolutely nice.looks like the GMC took some styling cues from Porsche and VW on the rear.i love the duals with the quad tips.good job,GM.
