Oh and BARF on those taillights. WTF?!
Look guys, the 5th gen was the unprecedented winner this last go around. There is no questioning that and you WANT them to change the styling up something all crazy?? It wont happen.

This is just like the K2XX doesn't look different enough. Yet, when I see one now I know exactly what Im looking at.

Is this the actual car? Or renders? It doesn't look like the body highlight around the side windows is there. This looks a lot like the renders that have been kicking around since the first camo'd cars were photographed.

When someone's immediate reaction to the car is "OMG, looks like a Gen 5!!!", it is basically guaranteed that it's short for "even though we have all been aware from spy pics that the body lines weren't going to be a big departure from the Gen 5's successful styling, this turns out to be EVEN CLOSER to looking EXACTLY like a Gen 5 than I had expected from the spy pics and the fact that it's an all-new car!"

It's a legitimate reaction and comment. In fact, it was also my reaction upon seeing the pics.

From three actual pictures taken of a car on TV? Meh, get a general idea of what to expect.

While I'm underwhelmed by what I see, I also know that cars don't look great in studios, you Godda see it on the road to appreciate the lines and size. So I reserve judgement, but to this Camaro ignoramus, my prima facie impression is that it looks identical to a 5th gen: I expected them to be thematically similar, but not identical.

Let me add... When will the 7th Gen be revealed?
(I had an entire rant typed up, but deleted it. I'll just leave it at, "C'mon on 7th Gen. Sooner rather than later please.")

Purty. Looks like a good evolution of the current car. Looks a bit more lithe from that rear quarter view, which is really the only think the 5th gen needs.

Are you saying that we shouldn't yet consider we've fully "seen it" because those are only three pics that are TV screenshots, so they're only good to give us a general idea of the car and that's it? (That's how I'm reading your post.)

OMG!! It looks like a Camaro!!!

Hint : That's what they're going for, people.

Same thing Ford does with the Mustang. It looks like a Mustang, but is evolved. But still recognizable as a Mustang (All 2008 Honda Accord Coupe jokes aside...LOL)

Make it recognizable as a Camaro at a quick glance. That's the goal here. And they succeeded.

    I like it.

LOL@debating the validity of someone's comments!

I like what I see so far, they clearly put some effort into this, and I think that many small details are different enough to combine to make a pretty hot car.

I think the Wow in the new generation will be the handling. Can't wait for the test drives to start!

I like the styling, definitely an evolution which is what we were all expecting. They did such an awesome job with the styling on the current get that for once I'm kind of glad GM went evolutionary. Typically I like a bigger departure in styling.

Pretty much. When you take a picture of a picture it looses all kinds of details. You cant even tell if the headlight details are individual LEDs or like the full solid color lines of the Enclave.

Its just hard to see something like this and know what it truly looks like. It gives a great general idea.

I do agree with sfbreh. You can tell that they took a lot of visual chunkage off the rear of the car. That'll look great tomorrow.

    Plus, its not silver!!!! LMAO!!!!!
