Re: 2010 Camaro To Be Unveild Monday July 21st, 2008
Ya, good idea. I guess when we know the weight of it we can make some good guesses about the performance at least. Of the top of my head, I think that engine has about 260hp (on the SKY)... so that could be respectable.

Correction, it's an announcement of an unveiling and I think they've only been talking about it for 3 years, which is pretty much how long it takes to make a car happen at most car companies... most of them just don't talk about it in the early stages.

Yup, bad timing indeed. What do you think about the small Camaro idea? I know it's not the traditional idea of a Camaro, but cars are not going to stay traditional for long.

So they show us pictures, then what....another 8-10 months before they actually sell them?

How much were Mustang Sales DOWN in June? How much MORE will Camaro cost than Mustang? What will be the EPA MPG rating for Camaro? Yes the timing sucks! Too little to late again GM!

You can't blame GM for this one. The fuel prices have taken everyone by surprise. Toyota got screwed with their new pickup too. Maybe the Camaro V6 will be more popular than estimated.

The negativity on this board is getting ridiculus---it's no wonder that alot of faithfull posters are no longer here.
Enough of this too little too late BS--give GM credit for bringing back the Camaro under the current economic conditons. Be glad that GM is still making some cars with a soul along with their bread and butter appliances. |

Re: 2010 Camaro To Be Unveild Monday July 21st, 2008
How many years old is the current design? How much will sales go up when the new 2010 debuts with more fuel efficient engines?
A handful of dollars a month. Best in class. What were the best sales years ever for the Camaro? The mid to late 70s and early 80s which if you'll remember were a horrible recession and gas crunch. And that was a 10 year old design at the time. Let's wait and see what happens before we kill the car...there's a lot of pent up demand out there! |
