Looks sharp! I really hope this does well. And, the Mustang finally gets a playmate.

Unflattering photo as expected. Bland, ugly interior as expected. Heavy as expected. I think I would like a dark grey one.

Re: Jalopnik lets the cat out of the bag reveals 2010 camaro info before monday revea

It's awesome, inside and out, and I want one. However, I also want a CTS coupe, only more so. GM did an excellent job, and especially in the interior, unlike Chrysler who completely ruined the Challenger inside. And who was that idiot criticizing the auxiliary gauges on the console? They are as cool now as they were in 1969, which is to say WAY! Great cars are not for everyone; that's why they make the Camry.

Interesting of you to specify the color of your unflattering, bland, heavy vehicle with the ugly interior, as expected.

Is that the automatic shifter in one of the pictures (the one next to the yellow Camaro)... or is that a pre-production version of the manual shifter?

From Edmunds

GM has done this legendary name justice. It has the classic, unmistakable look of the original inside and out. The look it ALWAYS should have had.

This is exactly what a Chevrolet is. Big, bold, RWD and proudly American.

Why can't this type of design and passion be present in every Chevrolet product? The Cruze looks hopelessly terrible and derivative and it's going to be sharing the same showroom with this car and the Corvette. Ditto for the much-hyped Malibu, it looks Japanese. Chevrolets should not look Japanese. They should look American and be proud to be American.

Kudos on the Camaro GM, and thank you for doing it right.

I want to see interior shots of the base model. The ones shown in the picture appear to be the SS. You can see SS logo on the bottom spoke of the steering wheel.

Bland, ugly interior? Heavy? Go dump on the Challenger, a far worse offender as far as interiors and curb weight is concerned

why does everyone keep comparing to the Challenger? There will be so few of them on the road you may never see one at the stop light. Mustang is the real competion. It weighs in at 3,483 lbs. for the V8 MTX. Or do you expect Camaro is sell in as small a numbers as the Challenger?

Damn that's hot! I think that's going to be the V6 too because the front (non-functional) vent is not there. It was on most of the prototypes.

You seriously think the US market Malibu looks too Asian to be a Chevrolet??? Then I wonder what you'll think of all this...

Intersting interior. Looks like it could be overly hard plasticky.

I'll take that car with a Challenger exterior. That would be perfect.

Re: Jalopnik lets the cat out of the bag reveals 2010 camaro info before monday revea

I'm really confused as to why I'm not getting this new Camaro. Everything rational in my mind says I should love it. But, I think the fact that the console seems too busy with the knobs, the squared off rear taillamps, the fact that it seems a little too late to the game, overexposure before the release, and the fact that GM cancelled the car after 02 and there is this gap of 8 years in there with a model that should have lived. That being said, I know I will be all excited when it arrives. The faults I listed above are the only ones and those are minor. This is one of the first cars, after the G8, that the base model actually looks good. The RS even has Pirelli P Zeros on it, so GM didn't skimp there. If it came down to a G8 GXP or a Camaro SS, I'd probably go with the G8 GXP. I just like the looks of that car better.
