Re: 2009 G8 GT Price Goes Up
Will the Canadian G8s go via the US or would they be direct imported from Australia. I would hope the latter as that would appear at first glance to reduce costs. Anyone know for sure?

Re: 2009 G8 GT Price Goes Up
I don't think the G8 should start at $28k. That is a huge difference over the car it pretty much replaces. $26k would of been a much better number. Pontiac really needs to get on the ball or they should just throw in the towel. The G8 is overpriced, the G6 needs to be completely redone, the G5 is a joke, the Vibe is a Toyota in disquise (do I really need to explain the problem with that?), the Solstice is getting long in the tooth, and now they are expected to get a rebadged Aveo. How promising for the performance brand...

A G8 is a FULL SIZE RWD car, what full size car with a decent V6 costs less than $27k. The Charger with the 3.5L stripped might be the only one, but the G8 doesn't have a stripper model so that explains why it costs more. Cars just cost more than they did 5 years ago.

Re: 2009 G8 GT Price Goes Up
When do the 2009s start showing up - there seem to be hardly any 2008s around (although I know a dealership in Golden Valley MN with two hail damaged models...)

how they will explain it if they put the price up in Canada, which is already much higher than the US price. As of now we are told to expect $36,995 for the GT..probably go up to $40,000 now. Re: 2009 G8 GT Price Goes Up
Well it's not really that bad, seeing as we Australians already pay more than that and have the cars built in our back yard.
