LS series engines ECU kit and harnesses - GM parts -

a friend of mine at my shop just informed me today of new listings in the GM parts catalogs.

its a installation kit for LS engines

i will get the details and everything soon, but its pretty sweet.

you get everything you need for around 800 dollars. module and harness and sensors included. even includes a gas pedal.

works with LS2 - LS7 engines, all same price.

wish i wouldve known about this earlier, i wouldve just bought a crate LS2 or LS3 or LS6 and purchased the installation kit, for my camaro. wouldve been around the same price, for around the same power, maybe a bit less, but down the road it could be modified easily

Re: LS series engines ECU kit and harnesses - GM parts -

"The LS engine controller kit is available as part number 19166567. They are available at any GM Dealer, however they are best to get thru an GM Performance Parts Authorized center. Street price ranges from $885-$1,000."

I received the above email from GM Performance Parts notifying me of the availability of the LS controllers for the LS7 Crate Motor. Can anyone put me onto a GM Parts Dealer that would be interested in supplying and shipping to Australia for me as I have not received any response from the dealer I purchased the motor from.

Thanks in advance...........regards

I would love to do a LS motor swap in my 61 but I would probably do a carbureted motor like the one in Reggie Jacksons Camaro. That thing is sweet!

tell ya what, if i had known about this ecu kit and all that before i had built my engine for the camaro, there would be a ls engine of some sort in it now.
i figured i would have to rob one from a camaro 4th gen or a wrecked corvette or something, because they did away with the kit for the ls1. so i was going to originally get a crate ls2 or ls3 and then put a ecu kit on it, and then do some mild bolt ons. but it worked out ok in the end with the carburated engine im running in it, same price basically, and more power.
