Just ordered some frozen treats...

I just ordered a set of Power Slot Cryo frozen rotors and some Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads for the Buick. I've used the Carbon Metallic pads before on other vehicles and they work great, so I'm hoping the rotors and pads together will improve braking. The frozen rotors are supposed to be warp resistant and last longer overall by over 100%, so I'm going to try them since I know how warp prone standard rotors are.

Anyone have any experence with the frozen rotors?

Can you upgrade these B body cars to have bigger brakes, like C5 brakes?

There used to be a kit that swapped in Porsche 993 Turbo calipers and rotors.

There are guys swapping brakes from other cars and upgrading to aftermarket kits.

Sweet. Probably on the expensive side though.

I've swapped 1st gen Aurora brakes front and rear onto my Reatta and they're awesome even with normal rotors and pads. I know that F body and even the C5 brakes can work, too, which would be amazing. How does the Roadmaster do with stock brakes?

The stocl disc/HD drum setup does OK, but in traffic they start to heat up and fade. The front/rear proportioning is actually very good, you can feel the rear brakes doing their part. One day I'm going to swap rear axles and have four wheel discs as well as bigger wheels, then I might look into bigger brakes and better calipers.

My bad, I was thinking they had rear discs. Do the 9C1's have rear discs?

9C1s and Impala SS' had 4-Wheel discs. The '94-'96 Civilian LT1 Caprice, Roadmaster and Fleetwood had 11"x4" rear drums.
