I'm planning on adding more ponies...

...To my truck. Currently my truck is a stock 1988 Cheverolet Cheyenne Regular Cab 3.4L V6. I've found the enginei want to go with my truck but i don't know what would be a good trnsmission to match it with. The engine is here. http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_..._efi_440.shtml

Also, i don't whether i need to upgrade anything else on it such as the radiator, fuel supply, brakes, suspension, etc.

Any and all help is welcome.

Re: I'm planning on adding more ponies...

you currently have a 4.3 V-6. Upgrading to that engine will require a built trans ($2,000 if you go overdrive) and a built rear (I would upgrade to a 6-lug 14 bolt FF). I would aslo address the fuel system with an upgraded pump.

I would also research if it require modifications to the engine mounts, etc. Also emmisions may be a problem depending on where you live. In all I'd say you looking at around $10,000 in parts for the project, is this something you have budgeted?
