Does this sound right???

My chevrolet will sputters & lose power occasionally going uphill. I've been told to change the fuel filters & gmc oxygen sensor. Does this sound right? and how hard is it to change? Thanks for helping!

Re: Does this sound right???

What year and model is it, how many miles and what engine? Any warning lights on? If it's occasionally I wouldn't think it would be either of those things unless the O2 sensor is starting to go out.

Re: Does this sound right???

ooops sorry my bad. It is a 2001 Impala. It is currently at a nearby mechanic and it seems like the sensor is indeed one of the major culprit. Thanks dude

Hopefully It'll be ok by tomorrow

The oxygen sensors are almost a maintainance item from my experience. The car probably just needs a tune-up. How many miles are on it?
