Bully Dog already in DMax

The tech installed the Bully Dog in my LZB DMax and Pup was downloaded to the Outlook but when plugging in the connectors to the engine for the Outlook,,,the engine light, brake, loop, etc. comes on and will not go away and Outlook will not read mph except for boost so he disconnected the Outlook from the plug connector in cab and plugged in the Pup and it works and engine light, loop, brake, etc went away.
What is the problem? Outlook is bad?

After test driving for a while to let computer "learn",,,,shifting in Extreme is not smooth and firm,,, it hestitates between shifts,,,,does the computer need to get used to it and learn more before it will be able to shift firm and better?
When trying light the wheels up from the Stop by raising RPM's to 2,000 and let go of brake.,,,it hesitates also. Why?

DMax does run with more power except the shifting and hestitation between shifts. What do I need to do?

AFE exhaust mods are not in yet,,,will get it Wednsday but AFE intake Stage 2 is already in the DMax and does blow a lot of black smoke in Extreme.

Bad Max

Re: Bully Dog already in DMax

It takes a bit for the trans and ecm to get used to the new commands from the BD.... going up or down 1-2 settings isn't usually a big deal but going from 1-4 or vice versa takes a few miles to smooth out

biggest thing though is to contact bully dog and make sure all the parts interchange with each other and that you have the latest versions
