What type of power are you looking to make? Do you have a smog test?
Drag-race, Road-race, just for fun? There are tons of heads out there, please be a little more specific. BTW aluminum heads on a BBC will help keep detonation at bay and allow another .5 to 1.0:1 of compression.

bang for the buck steet heads- edelbrock is really good. Performer or performer rpm will make plenty of power and torque. Stay away from monster runner size drag race type heads for a truck application- you likely won't have enough cam to make use of them.

Not only that but it will take over 50lbs off the front of the car.

Re: Big Block Chevy Aluminum Heads????

Check GM Performance Parts. Though mine are for a small block, the GMPP fast burn heads on my ZZ383 are real screamers. The only thing I don't care for is the roller hydraulics are a little noisy for my liking for the first couple minutes after start up. I may be able to adjust them and get them to quiet a little, but they aren't bad now by any means. You could just go all out and get a GMPP big block crate engine.
