    Exclamation 02 Monty and cat-convverter

Wasn't there a notice or a recall on some of converters used in those Monty's? My son is having trouble with his and everything seems OK, it just doesn't run right. sluggish going uphill or hard pulls..

Don't recall one offhand. Call a Chevy dealer with your VIN. If there is a recall or special policy, know that it doesn't cover the converter if it has been damaged by a engine running poorly, or oil consumption.

Ends up the converter was plugged up. Try using a vacumn test and it didn't show anything abnormal..........

There was an extended warranty on cats on all W bodies of that era, I'm almost positive it was 10 years or 120K. I remember thinking a couple years ago that my '01 MC was out of the age, but still under on miles.
