Re: National Rugby League

I have always believed that the US is the best nation for Rugby League's expansion. Grid Iron and League have a very similar structure and flow of play.

All they have to do is put it in the minds of school kids that wearing padding while playing football is, well, a little poofy and that league is a real mans sport! Seppo's love that well 'ard kind of stuff!

Here's an interesting article i read the other day on why league is better placed to take the lead in the US over that sleep-inducing Union.

Rugby League: Perfect for American TV

I think I'll start a new thread regarding the US NRL in das Lounge and try and get the masses interested.

That was the second time I had ever seen Wayne Bennett smile. It made my heckles stand up!

Who else picked the Knights!

Me

I've got 4 out of 7 so far, I think not a bad result so far considering the upsets this round

Now I just need the Raiders to win over the Cowboys tonight

Re: National Rugby League

Sad to see that Brumbie Super 14 Shawn Mackay died overnight in South Africa.
Also what is with premiers. Manly and Hawthorn are both without a win yet.
