Man that is so cool, I've just spent about an hour looking at other videos on YouTube, it's nearly as addictive as GMi

The football, meatpies, kangaroo and holden reminded me of the Chevy baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and chevrolet ads...

And reminded me of the ol' "Braaivleis, rugby, sunny skies, and Chevrolet" radio jingle for the South African market.

They are only people stupid enough to walk into a closed door...
What is this about? Does Australia have bad import snobs too?

These comments were from the Chevy Lumina Ad, so these commenters obviously were just out to get the commodore for some reason (who else would know this was a commdore)

Re: Classic Holden TV Ad's

The LX Torana ad was pretty interesting, especially that tent option. But 8 minutes long? Man, that's one long yet informative ad!

If you look at their YouTube profiles the guy that hates Commodore drivers is apparently from the US, so maybe it's a jealousy thing? (Can't get a Commodore in the US?) The other guy probably drives a Honda Civic! We do have a few import snobs I suppose. Being Australia's best selling car it's probably a bit too common for some people.

Hi Guys.

DanCJBMS1988 said "The LX Torana ad was pretty interesting, especially that tent option. But 8 minutes long? Man, that's one long yet informative ad!"

This add wasn't actually broadcast on radio or TV, it was on film, video tape or laser disc (depending on which year) in dealers showrooms. It was shown to prospective customers.
