Great Idea again Joet. Ambrose needs a Kick up the A$$
But Peter Brock is my choice.

Re: All V8 Supercars Discussions Here

You didn't vote for Ambrose! What a shock!

Brocky won more races but overall I've always been a big fan of how Perkins has run his operation (Brock lost his) and his longevity.
He's just behind Brocky for Bathurst wins too.

Who ever votes for Ambrose need to Look Very Hard At Themselfs...

Perkins was good no argument there, But it was surporting Brock that made me a Holden man. Oh and the VU SS Commodore Ute.

I have always liked Murray Carter. There isn't a Brock corner at Mt Panorama but there is a Murray's.

Let me guess, another fan using his move to NASCAR as a scapegoat for every little mistake he makes?

Do it for GMI Chinamonty....

This race will be the slowest of all the V8 races ever. the top speed at the speed trap is estimated about 160km/p. this on top of the average temp of the air and these cars and drivers WILL feel the Heat.

but as they are predicting rain, the top speed may drop to 130km/h....

this will be fun to watch....

Re: All V8 Supercars Discussions Here

Your joking right? Theyve got a 1km+ straight there and they'll ONLY be doing 160km/h?? Are you sure thats not the AVERAGE speed?

Re: All V8 Supercars Discussions Here

The F1 super cars only get to 250 there. V8's are quick but they have nether the P/W ratio or the Grip levels of the F1. 160 is the prediction i heard on RPM coverage of the last F1 round.

Re: All V8 Supercars Discussions Here

they are running on a slightly different circuit to the one used by F1. 160km/h still doesn't sound right though

Re: All V8 Supercars Discussions Here

Considering with the diff change, they got near enough to 270km/h at Pukekohe this year, they'll be holding 160km/h around some of the corners

I can't make it up there as I work sundays (have friday and saturday off due to power rationing) and really need to be there this week.

Tommorow my gifriend Anna and I are going to try and find out whether there is any live coverage in Guangdong province in the south where we live. Most of the people at work don't know about it. Zhuhai has a good racetrack and a round of the FIA GT Championship.
