Re: Six Airbags & Air Conditioning Now Standard Across The Holden Commodore Range

The Omega wheels are the same as what they fit to the New Zealand spec Omega. We had ac and alloy's standard when the ve first came out. I wonder if we get the rest of the updates. Also on the sport wagon Holden NZ have cut our range to omega, sv6, ssv and calais v. No berlina or the base ss and calais which is rather strange.

Wow, thats a surprise of we dont get the Berlina or Calais? you would think that they would have a base spec luxury model in there line up as it would be a bit or a jump pricewise from a Omega to a Calais V, wrong move in my opinion, though i suposes they are basing this limited sportwagon lineup based on the sales of the Sedan versions. I have to admit its a rearity to see Berlina or Calais, most are Calais V.

Re: Six Airbags & Air Conditioning Now Standard Across The Holden Commodore Range

Perhaps they've been finding the takeup of the non-V models is very low and/or many people are optioning those models up to virtually V-spec.

After you add leather, bigger wheels etc to an SS it works out not far off a -V.

With the Omega going northwards in trim it's also stepping on Berlina's toes. Maybe they're just rationalising inventory, altthough you think they'd keep Berlina as a long-running nameplate.

good point, Berlina's main attractions above the Omega were the chrome grille, alloys, air conditioning, body coloured parts, and i guess the classy taillights.

now the Omega has all those options, and side curtain airbags are standard across the range, people must really only be paying for the badge

And the better stereo & screen setup. which improves the interior a lot to my eyes.

Now I really can't decide which colour I like most. Morphius/ Crunch or Voodoo?

Well you lucked out on Morpheous. It's gone.

KPow must have had one of the shortest production spans I can remember. Morpheous wasn't much longer.

I'd like a good picture of the new silver.

G'day Maxta. Welcome to GMI. Asylum builds em so he'd be a good gauge. I'm thinking Black AH CDX is in the GM chain somewhere too so she probably took that pic.

Re: Six Airbags & Air Conditioning Now Standard Across The Holden Commodore Range

Thanks for the info

im on the verge of spending 55k on an SS-V and am a little nervous going for the blue without seeing it in the flesh. I quite like the version on the photos instead of the ones on the holden brochure.

while im on the subject - would you guys recommend waiting for DOD in a series II model rumoured for august or just get the current VE SS as its got most of its problems ironed out now. Im told the new SS might have new wheels and headlights too (Xenon).

Any ideas ?

We have had a few at the Dealership where i work, the pic posted by Black AH CDX is the better pic that ive seen it changes depending on the light, in real life it doesn't look as dark as in the pic.
