The Rodeo TD was 8.5l/100km and the 3.6 is an abysmal 12.7 though I have heard that real world figures for teh Rodeo are even worse. One dealer was telling me that a customer came in all red faced (angry) wanting to give his 3.5 crew cab back because another salesman told him how good its real world economy was.

Here's a link to the 2 different donks.

Dont like the name. I prefer Rivers if you must name a truck after a shoe brand.
Prefer the Rodeo look to the Colorado, but this Colorado over the US version (or the Canyon.

There is a big difference in FE between the old Isuzu 3.5l and the HF 3.6l.

Where is this thing built? If GM can afford to offer so many variants in Australia, surely they can streamline things so that there is one global midsize truck. With development shared between Australia and the US (and the rest of the world for that matter), I'd think they could make a go of a new generation of Colorado. If smaller trucks gain traction in the US they could even offer the tougher, more work-oriented versions into the US market. I think it's crazy that GM has the money for two different Colorado midsize truck designs (one which is for the relatively small market of Australia) but no money for other product redesigns.

They are built in Thailand.

If GM has any future as a company, this design needs to be the next Colorado.

Especially in the former Xtreme trim level.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Seems to me, Ugly is the new attractive in the automotive world today. Everything seems to be going towards video game stylig excesses.

Re: Meet Rodeo's Sister: New Holden Colorado Range & Prices Announced

I like the American Colorado's styling, but that Holden Rodeo looks better overall.

I do wish it had the American Colorado's Z71 fenders and tires that seemed almost oversized for such a small truck.

I don't understand why we cant take that truck, give it a Silverado style interior, and sell it here....diesel engines and 3.6L gasser included.

I agree. The Chevy looks better than the Holden.

I definately prefer the US Colorado to the Eastern one. I don't understand why everyone (especially those from here) like that Eastern one so much. I bet if the turcks were reversed, the receptions would be the same. I think it's a case of "I can't have, so I want."

Why do we not have this is the U.S. now? Are they afraid it might sell?

That is much better, but still not as good looking as the 2008 Rodeo....
