The clubman that this replaces had been around, off and on, for many many years. In case Clubman is a foreign term in NA, a Clubman is how we refer to the Lotus 6 & 7 style of car, carried on by things like the Westfields of the world. There is/was a Clubman category for racing for this style of car, though they evolved to be less and less like the road cars. They fly though, power to weight ratio being the key I think. Low capacity and power, very low weight.
