Re: Holden Celebrates 60th Anniversary With Special Edition VE Ute

The thing is that they're devaluing the 60th Anniversary thing by spreading it widely but thinly (other VEs have had a turn) and the Holden ute itself is only 58 (i.e. born in 1950) - not that I wouldn't mind looking that trim and muscular at 58 (10 more years to get trim and muscular..).
But I guess it also allows them to make a big fuss over 60 years of utes in two years time, like they did the 50th anniversary in 1998..
I just wish they'd struck a badge for any model commemorating it (not a blurry "decal" that can be scratched off and thus lost, grrr) like they did for GM's 50th anniversary in Australia - was it really way back in 1976? I think so!

Oh...I thought it was an AWD when I first saw it. Oh well, hopefully the Holden guys are just busy working on the Torana.

60th Ann Captiva LX and Commodore Omega.

These look like value. Cappy gets rear view camera and 7" Touch screen (plus DVD?) & Omega gets leather, bluetooth, Berlina grille and 18s.
