since when have Aussie performance cars ever been conservative?
They mostly get blamed for being over done.

If gas averages over 4 bucks by summer here (it will), then a wagon would be a smart choice. GM would be silly not to bring it over once Tahoes and Escalades drop to a grinding halt.

i don't see just a whole lot of reason why that shouldn't be a Pontiac. pick up the sales that were given away by Chrysler when they dropped the Magnum, and it would be a phenomenal alternative to an SUV. i'd love a V6 version of that. reasonable fuel mileage and lots of utility, and a bit of fun to drive on top of it all.

CO-SIGN!!

i was so hoping for a G8 sport wagon that i had decided to trade in my GTO for one (and i had planned to NEVER get rid of it) but then GM dropped the ball as always, and decided to send the UTE over instead..WHAT?!?!?!?
(i am a big fan of the g8 sport truck, just can't imagine that selling more than a wagon)

Re: Confirmed: HSV Tourer Sportwagon Due Late 2008 - First Picture Released!

If Pontiac doesn't bring this over sometime in the next 3-4 years, I think I'll look for a used 2008 Saab 9-3 Aero SportCombi. I like the Saab, but IMO Saabs are overpriced when new and don't hold their resale value very well, which should make finding a used '08 in a couple years a solid find. But the Holden Commodore Sportwagon looks bigger. I'd prefer that!

The problem with that argument is that Magnum sales were so good the Chrysler cancelled the car. If the Magnum had been a good seller, I think GM would have brought the HSV to the US. I still think there is a possibility that they might bring it over as an SUV/CUV alternative. I would certainly pick one over one of the Lambda's. (and i really do like the Lambda CUVs)

I like it better than the sedan, I think. Though, it just makes me miss the Magnum SRT8 more...

Looks great. Now bring it to the US.

Some of us Americans like having great handling AND cargo capacity.
