Re: Confirmed: The Holden Rodeo Is Dead! Chevrolet Colorado To The Rescue
![]() ![]() ![]() Well that sucks, naming a pickup after a brand of shoes.......... Anyway it sucks all over. One, It seems Isuzu are not going to use the name Rodeo in Australia anyway. Prefering D-Max. Two, I prefer the Rodeo look over the facelifted Colorado. Three, Colorado? may as well call it the Utah .Grampian MonaroSS? that'd be the Olds version. "Not the truck your Grampian drove...." BTW when the GM/Isuzu split happened I read an article that quoted a GM-H exec saying that in the agreement a clause was included that Holden now controls the Thai factory and therefore the Rodeo. What happened to that??

Re: Confirmed: The Holden Rodeo Is Dead! Chevrolet Colorado To The Rescue
The Rodeo is based on GMT355 which is a joint GM/Izuzu platform designed to replace both the GMT325 platform (S10/Sonoma) and the Izuzu TF platform which the previous generations of the Rodeo were on. In fact, the Rodeo name, which is a trade mark of Izuzu was made by them. Recently they had a falling out with Izuzu. While each gets to keep use the jointly held plants and IP, GM can no longer use the Rodeo name
