Re: Vid Review: Saturn Astra, this guy is hard to listen to.

Just goes to show, all you need to become a producer, director, writer, and star of your own "TV show" is a digital camcorder, the Internet, and time. You don't even need to know the subject material very well.

Before posting a vid to the net ask yourself "Would I watch this if it were someone I did not know?"

Re: Vid Review: Saturn Astra, this guy is hard to listen to.

I also read the Buick Enclave review on that site...they specifically state that the 3.6L V6 in it was NOT OHC...but OHV...HAHAHAHA! Wow...they sure know their stuff...NOT! Here's a excerpt:

" All Enclaves are powered by a 3.6-liter V-6 rated at 275 horses and have a six-speed automatic transmission of GM’s own manufacture. The engine is particularly neat because it doesn’t have overhead cams, which make an engine bigger and heavier, but overhead valves—it’s a “pushrod engine”—but GM engineers figured out a way for it to have variable valve timing. Cool.

The six-speed automatic has manual shifting controlled by a little thumb rocker on the shift lever. It works as well as any manual shift system that requires the whole shift lever to be moved. Better, probably, once one learns which way to rock the rocker for unshifts and which way for down...
"

Re: Vid Review: Saturn Astra, this guy is hard to listen to.

UGH -- that was worse than watching GWB without a teleprompter.

A friend just brought his new Astra over a couple of hours ago. We didn't go for a ride, but I did sit in it . . . the interior is FAR nicer in real life than in pictures; I was very impressed. The little display "pit" doesn't look as archaic and lame as the pictures make it look, and the interior quality was top-notch.

He just bought it 24 hours ago, and it already has a small ding on the side from someone's door hitting it, and he's quite upset. . . haha, an earlier Saturn would have had the polymer panels.

As far as the Saturn review. I could only take about a minute of that guy. Yep, truth all you need is a camcorder and a domain name. At least the dude could have a script.

Because when it made by GM its "anemic" when its made by Toyota they call it "fuel effiecient" or "reliable." Its a journalist thing...

The sports anchor was almost as bad as watching the CBC in Canada...Boring, useless and very insecure about himself/ themselves. You do not watch either of them if you have any sort of intelligence.

Re: Vid Review: Saturn Astra, this guy is hard to listen to.

I drove one with a manual. It was beautiful and handled well, but for the money, I'd take the Cobalt SS. If interior and refinement were my priority, this would be my first choice.
