Re: Review: Pontiac G6

I really did not care what the press may say about the G6.
To me is the best looking car from Pontiac in years. I really like it!

Re: Review: Pontiac G6

that review is old by the way, and on top of that its crap. i estimate 85% of the review is positive, rest focus's on only minor details. even the writer himself admits its nit picking. i put in bold what the overall review should ahve been.

Quote:
Fundamentally, the G6 is a great little car. It drives very smooth and sporty, has good pickup and gets good gas mileage (around 25mpg mixed). It’s so unfortunate that so many small nit pick items have to overwhelm what is a really well designed car under it all.
besides, i dont put much faith in someones opinion of interiors, who is a gm truck ethusiast. no offense truck owners!

Re: Review: Pontiac G6

yeah thats just dirt. While I dont think the faults were as bad as the review states. I do think that some of those faults are wrong with my G6.

The two tone interior is better than the all-gray.

I agree but then you have to have the tan interior.

Nope: that IS the paint job! I just looked at one on the show floor. The back of the trunk and the rocker panels are like this with the rest of the paint (hood, doors, roof etc) being a little less noticeable.

Re: Review: Pontiac G6

The "First Ever" phrase wasn't intended to be a cute slogan. It was to inform the public that the G6 wasn't simply a redesigned Grand Am, but rather an all-new (first ever) model for Pontiac.

Re: Review: Pontiac G6

i'm sorry. call me a grammar-nazi, but nothing kills an article's credibility and creditability like misspellings such as:

"Most noticeably are the cheep one texture door skins." ("one-texture" should also prolly be hyphenated)

"Our tester was adored with XM satellite radio, which was so great that we ran out and subscribed ourselves the same day we turned the G6 back in (more on that in a future article)."

"Its curvatious style, futuristic slant, and sexily proportioned body give it a look of a superstar."

that, and the use of punctuation - notably commas - and adjectives/adverbs we pretty poor.

i know, i know. i'm nitpicking. but if you're going to put up a review, as if you're an actual journalist (heck, maybe the reviewer is an actual journalist, or is hoping to be), you owe it to yourself and your reader to do a much better job of editing.

and no, i don't think "dude, its only a blog" is not a good enough excuse. if you care about your writing, care about writing well.

... that said, i find myself in pretty much total agreement with the article. the interior is well sculpted and put together, its just not very well adorned.

I think you should read your own post again if you are a grammar nazi. j/k I agree with your comments about grammatical errors.
