Great Review: 06 Saab SportCombi

Looks like we have a winner!

Review Quote:

"Saab anticipates that the 9-3 SportCombi will be its biggest-selling model once it hits dealerships this Fall, and it's not hard to see why. It's as fun to drive as the sedan, but more versatile, and arguably better-looking, and its roomy rear end is closer to Saab's heritage of cars that can haul stuff as well as simply haul."

I don't really care about the hauling/versatility aspect of the 9-3 wagon. It just looks so much more **************** better than the sedan. I would buy the wagon over the sedan even if I didn't need the space.

I've seen the inside of the Saab 9Five wagon, it's not that big. The car is big. But the wagon, isn't that big, either is this wagon.

I really wish GM can bring back the Roadmaster/Caprice wagon...

Re: Review: '06 Saab SportCombi

He was right about the scratchy feeling cheapy plastics, although some of you may not want to believe it, the interior in our 2004 Saab 9-3 is not impressive for what you pay, the grand prix even has better materials, the saab's interior looks nice but the soft trim pieces have a tendency, not sure about 2005 models to peel because of faulty rubberized paint, the plastics near the door frame rattle a lot and feel very cheap, the previous gen 9-3 had better interior materials but not as refined of a design as the epsilon 9-3

This reviewed car is not as big as the 9-5 because it's based on the 9-3 sedan.

Wouldnt it be sweet if the colorado/canyon got this V6 or maybe a 3.0L Naturally aspirated version? that would put an end to the powertrain woes :tu:

it would be awesome but turbo affects durability since it heats everything up, it gives you great power out of a smaller engine but it isn't as a reliable and sometimes not as efficient as a larger displacement engine

Re: Review: '06 Saab SportCombi

would it even fit?

i mean, theyre using inline engines which are pretty long so i think
this would just slide in there with little effort no???

otherwise this is a decent truck with that cool 2 position tailgate

This isn't supposed to be a replacement for traditional station wagons, it's supposed to be a return to traditional Saab hatches.

NO!!!!!! Come and live with us in the present, those large station wagons were so long outdated, it isn't even funny!!!

Back on subject, the 9-3 sport combi is a great looking car with great versatility, and very true to the well-liked Saab heritage. It should be a great hit!

I don't see how big, BOF, 7 seaters with a large storage area are outdated.

Yes the Caprice and the Roadmaster are now embarrassments to GM why in the world would they bring that kind of trash back. The last Fleetwood is a big embarrassment also every time I see one I am like GM knows they were wrong for that big POS.

A coment from someone who obviously hasn't driven or owned one. Am on my 2nd '93 Roadmonster wagon (1st on totaled in an accident that would have killed a "SportCombi")

All I pay for is gas, oil and regular maint. This one I will keep for a while, until GM builds a suitable replacement.
