Positive Review on the Aura from Autobytel
Here is another review on the Aura from Christian Wardlow, who use to be an editor over at Edmunds. Overall, he had a number of good things to say. Here is the link:

Good review. I wonder if you can get one with black leather and silver trim. Now that's a great combination!

Very nice, I am more impressed with the car the more I read. Even the reviews of the Aura with the 3.5 are good. It's about time Saturn gets what it deserves!

Re: Positive Review on the Aura from Autobytel
A Saturn dealer is vastly more pleasant than a Toyota dealer. If the Saturn product is as good as the Toyota, it's a no-brainer.

Re: Positive Review on the Aura from Autobytel
This guy begins by comparing a LaCrosse to an ES350, and also bashes the Intrigue, which was a great car (the best of the W-bodies, IMHO) and at the time was heralded by many in the press as a genuine competitor to the CamCord. So the fact that the review was relatively positive says something-this guy needs no excuses to trash a GM product.

Re: Positive Review on the Aura from Autobytel
Well - all these positive reviews - but thats happened before. When this goes head to head with the Accord and Camry, that will be the end of the glowing superlatives.

Re: Positive Review on the Aura from Autobytel
"At the very least, however, the new Saturn Aura gives customers that are still loyal to the brand a great reason to return to the dealer, trade-in that ratty old L- or S-Series, and drive home in a new family sedan that won’t make the neighbors question their values, their success, or their intelligence."
"In the automotive marketplace, those have traditionally been luxury nameplates such as Lexus and Mercedes-Benz, but in the thick of the biggest segment in America – the midsize family sedan – a new kind of prestige has formed around those brands that say their owners are smart, rational, upstanding members of society." Oh just stop it! |

Re: Positive Review on the Aura from Autobytel
I have to say that out of all the midsized cars GM has, the Aura is the one most likely to win over Camry and Accord buyers. The interior packaging, upscale appointments, and a powerful DOHC engine with 250+ hp are key ingredients for success. From what I've seen of them, the fit and finish is tight, and the styling of the car exhibits a simplicity that is reminiscient of some of the higher priced European car brands. I think any Camry and Accord perspective buyer would do themselves well by also checking out this new Saturn.
