10 out of 10.

The long-awaited redesigned 2005 sixth-generation Corvette is simply the best, most comfortable high-performance sports car for the money.

You'll pay tens of thousands of dollars more to get a car with the 186-mph Corvette's performance and refinement—and then will lack the advantage of having your car fixed at your neighborhood Chevy dealer.

This sixth-generation ("C6") Corvette—the first significantly new 'Vette since 1997—earns a 10 rating on a 1 to 10 scale because of such things as sleeker, more efficient styling, a major horsepower increase and an improved interior.

The new Corvette looks more purposeful, although it strongly resembles the 2004 version. It's 5.1 inches shorter and 1.1 inches narrower, although its wheelbase is up 1.1 inches to 105.7 inches. The new car's dimensions are somewhat similar to those of one of its prime rivals, the iconic Porsche 911.

Bottom Line:
The best performing and most comfortable sports car for the money, despite gimmicky high-tech gadgetry.

That's the first time I can recall an MSN Autos "Expert" rating being higher than the consumer rating.

Dan Jedlicka isn't someone who gives high marks often. This is great news for GM.

Re: Corvette gets 10 out of 10.

yay!! now lets get the other 200 models GM sells up to that level

seriously though, no one can deny the awesomeness of the vette, even the most anti-domestic import forums don't deny the vette's performence and value. it'd be nice if more GM's were undeniable class leaders instead of "with rebates" or "for certain customers" kinda cars.

The Corvette team should take over GM. To me the Corvette embodies all that GM once was and still can be. Great American engineering, style, value and desirability. It is a miriacle this car exists given GM has been often lost in the wilderness in the last two decades.

Re: Corvette gets 10 out of 10.

Ah...love it.
As for Team Vette taking over all of GM, Team Vette would do horrible and would probably run down GM. Team Vette is acustom to getting what they want, the resources they want, and with very limitation. That mentality should eb carried through, and the passion Team Vette should be carried over, but the team itself.

"Biased" media?

Hehe, well anyways the Corvette deserved it. The Mustang and Corvette are the icons of American muscle, and that's not going to change anytime soon.
